The Florida Department of Agriculture has announced it is accepting applications to manage the Babcock Ranch. The 70,000-acre ranch is located in Charlotte and Lee counties. Assistant Commissioner and Chief of Staff Mike Joyner says the department hopes to have a rancher to lease and manage the property as early as July.
