The 27th Annual Peanut Efficiency Awards are now accepting nominations to celebrate peanut growers who have achieved the highest yields using the regenerative practices and mostly for the lowest price.
Hosted by the Farm Press, this prestigious recognition honors farmers across the peanut belt who balance productivity, sustainability, and smart farm management. Each year, four outstanding growers from all across the country are selected based on their entire farming operation. The evaluation process is led by Dr. Marshall Lamb of the National Peanut Lab in Dawson, but they evaluate all these various marketing practices.
The winners not only showcase impressive yields, but also contribute to the industry’s sustainability in efforts to share this information. Honorees will receive an all-expense paid trip to the South Southern Peanut Growers Conference in Panama City Beach, Florida on July 21st through the 23rd and winners will be recognized at the special luncheon there. The deadline now is April the 15th.
If you’d like to submit an entry, the nomination form is on the line at www.farmprogress.com backslash peanuts. So, if you think you got the best deal and you’ve made the most peanuts with the lowest price, it’s time to enter.
