The Alabama Beef Checkoff is cultivating unique relationships this week at the National Rural Grocery Summit. Typically held in the Midwest, it is being held in Montgomery, Ala. this year. I visited with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s Josie Jones to learn more.
The Alabama Beef Checkoff will be sponsoring three Beef 101 courses in April. Ali Cantrell, Alabama Cattlemen’s Association director of education and outreach, says those taking part learn about the beef industry from pasture to plate.
