USDA Awards Over $52 Million in Grants to Grow Organic and Local Food Economies

The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced the awarding of over $52 million in support of the growing organic industry and local and regional food systems through five U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant programs. And some of those dollars will be coming to the Southeast as grants were awarded in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
