According to the latest numbers from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), cotton and peanut planting continues to progress. USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey first says cotton planting progress is approaching the two-thirds mark. But Rippey says peanut planting is nearing completion.
