The Florida Beef Council is looking forward to the upcoming race week in Daytona, Florida. Here is Deanne Maples of the Florida Beef Council to share more.
“It is a big race weekend here in Florida with NASCAR back at Daytona International Speedway, so it’s definitely a great time to talk about a really fun partnership we’ve had in the 2026 year,” said Maples.
“The Florida Beef Council, along with a few other Southeast state beef councils, partnered with NASCAR driver Jeb Burton, driver of the number 27 Chevrolet. You’ll see, if you tune into the race, you’ll see the Beef It’s What’s For Dinner logo on Jeb’s car, but we’ve also had a lot of fun taking the partnership beyond the racetrack too. Jeb makes appearances and surprises fans with race day prize packs, sometimes even showing up with fresh beef that the fans can take home or, of course, grill right there at their tailgate at the track, and that tends to be a pretty fun reaction when you pull up and they realize that, hey, who is this guy? And out pops the driver in his race suit, and he’s got something for him,” Maples added.
Maples also said, “It’s awesome. It’s a great audience for us, the race fans. Race fans like to grill, they like beef, and they’re incredibly loyal to the things that they like, so for us, that’s awesome. And Jeb, he’s really just a good fit too. He’s a beef fan himself, and he and his dad, some listeners might recognize his dad is Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton. They have a real appreciation for agriculture in some of their off-track activities, conservation, hunting, keeping working lands on the landscape, and so that’s also just been a really great natural fit for us.”
“So, we’ll be at the racetrack in Daytona this weekend, and we’ll be cheering for Jeb and for the number 27, and of course, we’ll be out reminding quite a few race fans that beef really is what’s for dinner,” Maples said.
