Sandlin Starts New Chapter as ALMDA CEO

The American Livestock Markets and Dealers Association has a new CEO. Our very own Dale Sandlin is stepping into this new role.

Here is what Sandlin said when asked about the importance of this association.

“The biggest thing that a livestock marketer, order buyer, or dealer can do they’re focused on their day-to-day operations. They want to make sure that they’re successful in what they do for that,” said Sandlin.

“But at the same time, associations like ALMDA and even the Livestock Marketing Association of Texas, which I also oversee, it’s critical for them to be able to have somebody that can speak up on their behalf because they are busy running that operation. They don’t always have time to get into the nuances of legislation or reach out to the proper agency to make sure that they can get a question answered or be able to address the situation. So that’s what we do and why we do it,” Sandlin added.

Even though we at AgNet are sad to see Sandlin go, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Sandlin added, “I’ve enjoyed getting to cover all various aspects of agriculture through our reporting there at Southeast AgNet. I’ve appreciated everyone trusting me as a voice to bring them accurate news and at the same time know that they’re going to be in great hands with you moving forward.”
