With the Florida Cattlemen’s Convention coming up the Florida Beef Council looks forward to the opportunity to share updates on the Beef Checkoff.  We caught up with Deanne Maples with the Florida Beef Council to get a preview of what attendees should expect.

“Really looking forward to joining our cattle producers from across the state of Florida and really beyond who will travel into Florida next week for the Florida Cattlemen’s Association Convention in Marco Island,” Maples said.

Maples also added, “One of the highlights for the Florida Beef Council will be the Board of Directors in General membership meeting which will take place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning where we’ll share an update on the programs that your beef checkoff has supported over the last 12 months and we’ll also be presenting many of those same insights during the Florida Cattlewomen Business Meeting also later that morning so we will we will get that program out to multiple groups and we’ll certainly talk about the programs themselves.”

“This year we’re also going to spend some time discussing the strategy behind those efforts. Florida is a and while we really are a major cattle producing state, we are also home to a lot of people. Our population is rapidly growing. We have millions of visitors that come into the state each year and consumers who influence food trends across the country so that’s why our approach to building beef demand is about much more than advertising. We’re really focused on reaching consumers through who can each help tell beef’s story differently but in very meaningful ways,” said Maples.
