National Peanut Board

Each peanut farmer, as he produces his peanuts, is involved in a national checkoff program for the purpose of promotion, research, and education.

The National Peanut Board, based in Atlanta, is the manager of that program, about 13 million dollars a year. The National Peanut Board now has announced a launch in a bold, unified campaign to put USA Peanuts front and center with consumers nationwide, and all the industry and stakeholders are invited to be a part of this. They’re going to preview it on Monday, May the 4th.

The new title for peanuts will say, “It’s Not Nuts, It’s Peanuts.” The campaign officially will launch on May the 18th and represents more than a marketing initiative. It’s a call for collaboration between the entire peanut industry value chain, by bringing together voices from across the industry.
