Growing Veggies Indoors All Year Long
When colder temperatures keep you from tending to your garden outdoors, avoid the wintertime gardening blues by growing veggies indoors!
During these colder months, and all year for that matter, here are some of the best veggies to grow without stepping foot outside.
Carrots – easily grown in a container and only require artificial light.
Beets – another indoor favorite. Grow as many as possible enough, so you can them and enjoy them all year long.
Onions and garlic also do well as indoor plants and don’t require a whole lot of attention. Same for tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, microgreens and sprouts. Before you know it, you’ve got all of the makings of amazing salad without having to hit the produce aisle. Another super easy food to grow inside the home – herbs. Create your own herb garden and grow oregano, basil, chives, cilantro, mint, and rosemary. It’s as easy as placing them in a sunny window in your kitchen and watering as needed.
