The 2017 Cattle Industry Summer Business Meeting will take place this week, as it will be held July 12-15 in Denver, Colorado. The annual event features meetings of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion & Research Board, American National CattleWomen, Inc. and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation.
Cattle industry members will meet in both NCBA Policy committees and subcommittees, as well as Joint committees and subcommittees to discuss current developments, to work on initiatives developed at the Annual Cattle Industry Convention and to make plans for the upcoming fiscal year that starts Oct. 1.
Plus during the event, the 2017 Environmental Stewardship Award reception will be held honoring this year’s 6 regional winners. The 27th annual award program recognizes cattle producers across the nation who use innovative practices to protect and enhance natural resources while maintaining or increasing the profitability of their businesses. The regional winners compete for the national award which will be presented during the 2018 Cattle Industry Convention next February in Phoenix, Arizona.
