The Southern Peanut Farmers Federation applauded U.S. House Agriculture Chairman Mike Conaway and the other members of the committee for holding a listening session last Saturday in Gainesville, Florida concerning the 2018 Farm Bill. And peanut farmers were well represented at the event with various industry folks making comments. That includes Caleb Bristow, executive director of the Alabama Peanut Producers Association, Ken Barton, peanut farmer and executive director of the Florida Peanut Producers Association and Don Koehler, executive director of the Georgia Peanut Commission.
