Last week, the U.S. House voted in favor of The Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act (REINS) of 2017. The measure, H.R. 26, would require Congress to approve all new major regulations, meaning the executive branch will be more accountable to the legislative branch. Scott Yager, environmental counsel for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, explains the REINS Act as well as the Midnight Rule Relief which was also passed.
