Here is a statement from NCBA Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall on the possible movement of Free Trade Agreements:

WASHINGTON (July 28, 2011) – National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall commented on news from Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) that the committee will hold a “mock” markup of the draft implementing legislation for the South Korea, Colombia, and Panama Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) Thurs., June 30.

“For nearly five years, trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea have been collecting dust while U.S. farmers and ranchers lose market-share. Enough is enough. These agreements have been victim of political games at the expense of U.S. cattlemen and women.

“NCBA welcomes the opportunity to move these deals forward and encourages House and Senate leaders to put their differences aside and work together to implement these agreements as quickly as possible.”
