10 months of trade for 2026 will be in the books after the close of business today, and we review our list of 58 commodities and how they’ve fared now, year to date. Energies, no surprise, continue to top our list. After 10 months, heating oil, gasoline, and crude oil rank number 1, 2, and 3. In fact, the highest rated ag commodity, soy oil, comes in at number 7, up 42% year to date.
Soybeans rank number 14, wheat number 15. Cattle and feeder cattle have lost a lot of ground here during October especially, but still in positive territory for the year. Feeder cattle up 9 3 quarters, live cattle up 3%.
This is the bottom-line report. Corn and lean hogs remain in negative territory for the year. Corn down 8 1 quarter, lean hogs down over 30%. At the very bottom, orange juice down 32 3 quarters.
