Youth involvement, especially in the cattle industry, is imperative for a brighter future. This is something that the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association firmly believes in. The Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation supports future generations through scholarship opportunities.
Josie Jones with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association sat down with us to tell us more. “We are super excited. It is scholarship season here at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation, so we just opened applications for those awards last week, and they’ll be open through November 2nd,” Jones said.
“But through that program, we typically award over $150,000 in funds to students across the state, and we have awards for everyone from high school seniors who are currently finished in their senior year all the way through postgraduate students. So, we have something for everybody. We have 24 unique awards, and we’re excited to get those applications in and support more youth,” added Jones.
