The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s Junior Board recently had a meeting. We sat down with Bailey Watson of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association to learn more.
“This past weekend we held our first annual meeting with our Alabama Junior Cattlemen’s Association Board of Directors, and our Board of Directors is just our leadership team,” Watson said.
“It’s a group of youth that are leaders for the Alabama Junior Cattlemen’s Association, so I have 11 of them. It’s composed of youth across the state, so we brought them all to Montgomery this weekend to kick off their first meeting of the year, and we kind of started by going over, you know, their expectations and such for the year and what they can expect for being a Junior Board of Director, but then we also got to do some fun things. So, after we got all of our meetings out of the way, we went to Kickback Ranch, and they were able to enjoy some of their time there, and then we actually, on Saturday, had a parliamentary procedure workshop that was hosted by the Alabama State FFA officers, and that was a great workshop,” added Watson.
“The Alabama FFA state officers did a wonderful job hosting that workshop, and it just gave my Junior Board of Directors kind of more of an insight of how a meeting runs and Robert’s Rule of Order, so I had a great meeting with them. Looking forward to seeing what they can do for the association throughout this year. I know that this weekend they had a bunch of great ideas, and we’re really excited in finding new ways to serve our junior cattlemen across the state,” Watson mentioned.
