In tidbits of news across the peanut belt, PB2 Foods, the brand that pioneered powdered peanut butter, announced this week they’ve been listed again in ink as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. This is the second year in a row this company has been honored.
Also, top bidders have been announced for the USDA’s buying up of about 6 million pounds of peanut butter, roasted peanuts, and even sunflower seed butter for the Child Nutrition Program across the USDA’s network.
Providing the companies winning the bids were Sunshine Peanut Company of Tampa, Florida, the American Blanching Golden Boy of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Red River Company of Fargo, North Dakota.
In other news, KMC is announcing they are introducing a new Pod Pro. The Pod Pro is a yield monitoring system. It provides operators with continuous real-time yield information while they’re harvesting their peanuts. Gives them all the information they need. And there’s another new one added there, the KMC Stock Fold Flex Peanut Digger, an eight or ten row digger that folds up in the middle to move from field to field.
