The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, known as NASDA, has announced the hiring of Brianna Robinson-Verloop as its new Senior Director of Public Policy. In her new role, Robinson-Verloop will advance NASDA members’ policy priorities, direct strategic advocacy efforts, and lead the organization’s policy team in support of American agriculture. Robinson-Verloop brings more than 15 years of experience in agricultural policy, having worked with Congress, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and international organizations focused on food safety and trade.
Most recently, she served as Director of Animal and Animal Products with USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. She has also held positions with USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and served as a legislative fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives. In a statement, Robinson-Verloop said she is excited to join NASDA and help advance policy priorities that strengthen agriculture from the ground up.
She noted that practical policy solutions can deliver real results for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities, while helping agriculture thrive for generations to come. NASDA CEO Ted McKinney welcomed Robinson-Verloop to the organization, saying her extensive experience in agriculture, food safety, and trade policy will be a tremendous asset as NASDA advocates for the State Departments of Agriculture and the producers they represent. Robinson-Verloop is scheduled to begin her new role on September 8.
