The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association recently met together for their quarterly meeting. Erin Beasley of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association sat down with us to tell us more.

“Well, it was great last week to welcome in our county leaders from all 67 counties for the quarterly board meeting of the association,” said Beasley.

“At this meeting, we went over the draft version of the ACA policy handbook and that will be voted on at our next meeting in November. We also had a chance, aside from some business, to do some county leader training and our staff led those and county leaders were able to divide into groups. We went over some resources that’ll be available for the upcoming October beef month,” Beasley mentioned.

“We went over some different materials that we have available for county governance so that groups could work on that if they wanted to, and then also just some state services that we offer to our counties in terms of logos and how to design ads and things like that. So overall, we had some great feedback from our attendees, and we enjoyed being able to provide those resources and hopefully that will help them at the county level as they get ready for a lot of fall activity, especially around October beef month coming up,” Beasley said.
