At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended- August 21, 2026, receipts at 16 markets totaled 7,399 head compared to 9,492 last week and 10,141 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle sold 3.00 to 10.00 lower. Feeder steers sold unevenly steady, feeder heifers and feeder bulls sold sharply lower. Trade active with moderate to good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 285,318 compared to 317,716 last year.
