The Pro Farmer Crop Tour kicks off this morning covering 2,000 fields in seven Midwest states. Interesting to see how results differ, if any, from USDA numbers last week. But I will start the edition of the Bottom-Line Report by wishing my wife Kathy a happy anniversary.
53 years we’ve been living happily ever after. Well, the Pro Farmer Tour consists of two teams, as it usually does, one from the Eastern Belt and one from the West. The Eastern leg started in Noblesville, Indiana today.
The Western leg, Grand Island, Nebraska. Now the teams will meet in Rochester, Minnesota Thursday night, compile their data and release results on Friday. Many in the trade wonder if the tour might find a few more bushels than USDA did, especially corn.
