The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is looking forward to their upcoming junior fall field days. Here is Bailey Watson with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association to tell us more.
“Yeah, so we have our AJCA fall youth field days coming up in September. So we will have two free youth education opportunities available to youth 9 to 21. These field days this fall will focus on cattle reproduction and genetics. These field days will take place from 9 to 2. Students can come in or kids can come in and they will start the day by going through some reproduction and genetic stations and then a free lunch will be provided, and we will end the day with a farm tour,” described Watson.
“So that first one, we do have two available free available opportunities for our youth. That first one will take place on September 9th. That will be our south fall field day at JYJ Red Angus in Columbia, Alabama,” said Watson.
Watson added, “Registration for that is due by September 2nd. You can register for that one by going to bamabeef.org/southfieldday. Our north field day will take place on September 30th at Bar 5 Genetics in Blountsville, Alabama.”
“Registration for that one is due September 23rd, and you can register for that one by going to our website at bamabeef.org/northfieldday. So again, free youth education opportunities are available for youth 9 to 21. We would encourage everybody to come out and spend a day on these beautiful farms and learn about cattle reproduction and genetics,” Watson added.
