Several counties in Alabama have gone above and beyond in recruiting new membership for the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association. Erin Beasley of the ACA discussed these counties and this achievement.
“We want to congratulate the 29 county presidents that we recently had go, what we call over the top in their membership, and the deadline was June 30th, and these 29 county chapters, they were able to surpass their membership numbers from last year,” said Beasley.
“In Alabama, that means that these presidents will earn the coveted red coat, which will be presented at a future board meeting this year, and really all of these efforts are a great way for us to reach our ultimate membership goal as a state, and that is 12,000 members this year. We’re currently sitting at almost 10,000, and the efforts of these 29 counties have really helped us get pushed in the right direction, and so as we kind of round out and look at the second half of the year, we’ll continue those efforts. We’ll look to our folks that are individually recruiting members that can be eligible for top hand club prizes and really have a lot of great membership sponsors that help us provide prizes and other incentives that are going to help our members get out there, recruit, and help build our association,” added Beasley.
“So, we’re very appreciative of the efforts of all of these members, and certainly these county chapters, and congratulate these presidents who will be getting their red coat this year,” Beasley said.
