National Peanut Board Launches New Campaign

National Peanut Board

The National Peanut Board, funded by a checkoff program by U.S. peanut farmers, they have launched a new evolution of its Something’s Missing for Food Service campaign.

This food service campaign is building on last year’s awareness effort with a stronger focus on lead generation, operator confidence, and real-world momentum in the K-12 grade schools and the college and university dining programs. The original campaign reminded food service operators that peanuts may be missing from your menus. The evolved campaign builds on that message by showing the schools and campuses across the country that are already finding safe, successful ways to bring peanuts back.

With the new message, schools everywhere are lining up for peanuts, and the campuses everywhere are lining up for peanuts as well. The campaign supports two priority audiences, school nutrition professionals and the college and university dining leaders. For K-12, they have a free guide that is being produced, and for the colleges and universities, it’s a dining guidebook so they can include peanuts and peanut butter on their menus.
