
We’ve mentioned several times on this program that history shows December corn can top 7 to 10 days before the 4th or 7 to 10 days after. Analysts wonder if that has happened this year. The run-up in corn and beans early week has faded some here late week so now watching December corn 368, 369, all highs from this week to see if they will hold this year and hold true to history.
August is historically soybean month, so November can move above 1205, 1207. 1214 is the 52-week high from back in mid-May. This is the bottom-line report.
USDA and private crop scouts heading to the field starting late next week taking field surveys in preparation for the August 12th crop report. We don’t see additional advances in the grain trade ahead of August 12th.
