The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries is actively working to pursue a recovery of a surety bond. This bond would help compensate Alabama grain producers who have yet to receive payment for grain purchased by Hansen-Mueller CO. in 2025. ADAI urges affected producers to submit claims no later than 4:00 PM on June 23rd.

Rick Pate, Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries said “Alabama’s farmers work hard every day to produce the crops that help feed and fuel our country. The Department is committed to protecting our agricultural community and helping ensure producers can recover funds they are owed. We encourage any affected grain producer to submit the required documentation before the deadline.”

In a statement from the Alabama agriculture and Industries website. “Producers who sold grain to Hansen-Mueller Co. in 2025 and have not been paid may be eligible to receive a portion of the bond proceeds. To file a claim, producers must complete a Proof of Loss form and accompanying worksheet”
