
At the USA Peanut Congress held in Florida this past week, the Peanut Research and Education Award was presented.
Dr. Marshall Lamb out of Dawson, Georgia was the winner. He has been serving in that capacity for about 35 years. He has conducted research that has improved the profitability, sustainability, and competitiveness of the U.S. peanut industry.
He is the research leader and location coordinator at the National Peanut Research Lab in Dawson, Georgia. Lamb has led research efforts spanning peanut production, storage of peanuts, handling of peanuts, economics, and even quality. He is participating in recognition and leadership by addressing the aflatoxin challenges and coordinating collaborative research efforts across the peanut industry.
Throughout his career, Lamb, Marshall Lamb, has published more than 180 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has earned widespread respect as one of the best researchers in America and around the world. He is a key leader and that is Dr. Marshall Lamb receiving the Peanut Industry Research and Education Award for this year.
