Special meetings unveil new things that may be coming during the coming year.

The peanut industry has two or three special meetings that they learn what’s going to happen in the future and how they’ve done in the past with their industry. The 30th annual USA Peanut Congress was held this week at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island, Florida. It’s co-hosted by the American Peanut Council and the American Peanut Shellers Association.

This involves everyone as a unified voice of everyone involved in peanuts. Whether you grow it, buy it, sell it, or manufacture it, the American Peanut Council puts it all together with the USA Peanut Congress. Following that will be the 58th annual meeting of the American Peanut Research and Education Society, July 14-16.

This time it will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This event brings together all the scientists to talk about what’s in the years ahead or what they have found. Then there’s the 27th annual Southern Peanut Growers Conference coming up July 21-23.

This time it will be at the Edgewater Beach Resort for all peanut growers in Panama City Beach, Florida. It’s a three-day event providing farmers with information about peanut production, legislation, marketing, and also promotions of the coming year. That’s three of the big meetings that the peanut industry is very much involved in making plans for the future.
