The Georgia Forage and Grassland Council’s Summer Forage Tour Registration is now open and we sat down with Dr. Lisa Baxter with UGA to learn more.
“So this event and the Georgia Forage and Grassland Council is open to anybody that lives in the state of Georgia that has an interest in forages or grasslands in any way. That can be from the conservation side, the more traditional grazing side, even the harvest side of things. So anybody professionally or personally interested in those topic areas, this is a great overview to see what the council does and to learn more about being a member in the future. So the Georgia Forage and Grassland page lives on the Rolling Hills RC&D website, but you can also register through Facebook and link through there as well,” said Baxter.
“You can also search for the Georgia Forage and Grassland Council page on Facebook for last minute updates to registration, event, things to remember, and all of that. Our registration deadline for the event is June 12th. You can either click the link in the post and on that website, or you can call Jeff Toomlin at 678-614-9484. Again, our registration deadline is June 12th, and so there’s only a few days left and space is limited to get registered early,” said Baxter.
