The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association Region Meetings begin this week and we caught up with Erin Beasley, Executive Vice President of the ACA to learn more.
“Well looking forward to rolling out another summer of regional meetings for the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association. We get started this Friday on June the 12th. Gonna begin in North Alabama this year at the Priceville Event Center. That will be our first meeting taking place from 9 a.m to 3 p.m and just give everybody kind of overview of these meetings. There will be five of them located across the state this summer and each one is going to be in partnership with Alabama Cooperative Extension System and that way producers that attend these meetings they can expect to gain some great educational knowledge that comes from the program during the day and then the meal function will be sponsored by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association,” said Beasley.
“This is our chance to give membership update. We have some great sponsors that have come alongside us with these meetings which includes Agoro Carbon Alliance, First South Farm Credit, Livestock Marketing Association and Alabama Livestock Marketing Association, VRBAC, ENVU and the State Beef Checkoff and all of these sponsors have allowed us to bring a meal to these meetings and just have a chance to provide some updates to our attendees and roll out some different projects that we have going on in the coming months but really encourage folks to get signed up for these. Each one has a great program that is very much to the region that we’ll be visiting and so you can check out all of those agendas, the dates, do the sign up and everything on damabeef.org. Again we begin in Priceville this Friday and you can expect to see one in the Wiregrass region, West Alabama, Central Alabama and the Gulf Coast this summer. So hope that all of our members and cattle producers will come and join us this summer at the ACA Summer Regional Meetings,” said Beasley.
