As grills are firing up this weekend the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is encouraging consumers to choose beef. We caught up with Erin Beasley with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association to learn more.

“Well, the unofficial start of summer means that it’s time to fire up the grills for Memorial Day and we want to remind all of the listeners, consumers, and of course our members to make sure that you’ve got beef on the grill as you get together for the holiday this weekend,” said Beasley.

“Again, it’s going to be a great time to have steaks, hamburgers, whatever your favorite beef grilling item is and a lot of recipes out there to take advantage of. You can see those on beefitswhatsfordinner.com and we know that a lot of stores will be running some great beef promotions and sales to move some product this weekend and we know that it is definitely a big, big weekend for hamburgers as the National Hamburger Holiday is coming up as well. So get ready, fire up the grills, don’t forget Beef It’s What’s for Dinner,” said Beasley.
