Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has announced that the USDA is maximizing disaster assistance support for producers across the country by issuing a second supplemental disaster relief program.
That payment is eligible by producers who have approved programs already for losses due to natural disasters. That’s all the way back to 2023 and 24. FSA has already provided 6.7 billion dollars for the supplemental payments to eligible producers and a USDA is extending the program deadline to give producers and FSA more time to address any program application changes.
They signaled April the 30th deadline has been extended now to August the 12th for this supplemental disaster relief program. Also there’s a stage one and a stage two that will be factored at 35 percent that was being held back but now it’ll be turned loose as well. USDA is also increasing the payment factor to 70 percent meaning producers with applications will receive an additional 35 percent of their supplemental disaster relief program.
Helping out helping farmers can get back on their feet after these disasters around our country.
