Next week’s April Fed meeting shows nearly a 0% chance there’ll be any change in interest rates. The Fed meets next Tuesday and Wednesday, and so a week from today we’ll announce any rate decision.

CME’s FedWatch tool right now showing 99.5% chance no change. That’s the highest percentage we have ever seen and yet is understandable with current world events. Looking ahead, there’s no meeting in May, so this is the last meeting for Chairman Powell.

But CME right now showing a 96% chance no change in June and an 87% chance no change in July. Of course, world events, monthly jobs and inflation data can change that outlook by midsummer.
