The Georgia Beef Board is gearing up for next month as May is Georgia’s Beef Month. We caught up with Wyatt Doolittle with the Georgia Beef Board to learn more.

Doolittle said, “ It’s a great time to celebrate the hardworking farm families who raise high quality beef across our state. From the mountains of North Georgia to the farms and ranches of South Georgia, cattle producers are committed to caring for their animals, protecting the land, and providing a wholesome protein for families everywhere. But beef is more than just a delicious meal on the grill. It’s also packed with super important nutrients like protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins that help fuel our busy lives.”

“Whether it’s burgers for a ball game, steaks for a family cookout, or roast beef for Sunday supper, beef brings people together around the table. During Georgia Beef Month, we’ve got lots of exciting events and activities going on, including a burger week that’ll be happening every single week for the entire month. From Atlanta Burger Week to the Northeast Burger Battle to Milledgeville Burger Week. So we encourage everyone to support local agriculture, thank your cattle producers, and enjoy your favorite beef recipes all month long. If you’re looking for some inspiration, you can find more on beefitswhatsfordinner.com or georgiabeef.org. This May, fire up the grill, gather your family, and celebrate Georgia’s Beef Month. Beef, it’s what’s for dinner, and we’re proud to raise it right here in Georgia,” said Doolittle.
