NCBA Annual Meeting Heads to Nashville with Hall of Fame Inductions
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) annual meeting is just over a month away, and anticipation is building across the beef industry. Scheduled for February 3rd through the 5th, the 2026 NCBA convention will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing together cattle producers, feeders, and industry leaders from across the country.
Each year, the NCBA annual meeting serves as a key gathering for discussing policy, market trends, and the future of the beef industry. Educational sessions, networking opportunities, and committee meetings provide attendees with valuable insights and connections that help shape the direction of U.S. cattle production. Nashville’s central location and strong agricultural ties make it an ideal host city for this major industry event.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the convention is the induction of new members into the Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame. Since its establishment in 2009, the Hall of Fame has recognized individuals who have made lasting contributions to the cattle feeding sector through leadership, innovation, and dedication to the industry.
Honored this year are two respected leaders in cattle feeding. Kent Bamford of Bamford Feed Yards in Haxton, Colorado, will be inducted in recognition of his work and influence in feedyard management and cattle production. Also receiving this prestigious honor is Bob Foote of Foote Cattle Company in Bucyrus, Kansas, whose career reflects a strong commitment to excellence and advancement within the cattle feeding community.
The Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame includes some of the most influential names in the history of cattle feeding. Past inductees feature well-known feeding legends such as Paul Engler from Texas, Kenny Momford of Colorado, and Bob Gotch from Nebraska. Their inclusion underscores the significance of the honor and the high standards associated with Hall of Fame recognition.
As the NCBA annual meeting approaches, industry professionals are encouraged to mark their calendars and make plans to attend. The combination of educational programming, policy discussions, and recognition of industry leaders makes the event a cornerstone for the beef sector.
With the 2026 convention set against the vibrant backdrop of Nashville, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association continues its tradition of bringing the cattle industry together to celebrate achievements, address challenges, and look ahead to a strong future for beef production in the United States.
