The US Department of Agriculture is reminding agricultural producers who have not yet enrolled in safety net programs that the deadline for the 2025 crop year is approaching. Producers interested in signing up for the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) have until April 15th to revise any elections and sign contracts. Both of these programs offered by FSA, provide income support to eligible farmers with substantial declines in crop prices or revenue. Â Bill Beam, Farm Service Agency Administrator shared the additional resources available for producer to use in their decision making process. Coverage through ARC-County or PLC provides crop-by-crop protection or producers can elect ARC-Individual which protects the entire farm. Additional Supplemental Coverage options are also available through approved insurance providers in certain circumstances. Producers can see all eligible commodities and can enroll in these programs online through visiting fsa.usda.gov or by visiting their local FSA office.
