At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended December 20, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 12,470 head compared to 12,565 last week and 8,906 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher. Feeder cattle sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 534,773 compared to 621,211 last year.
