The Georgia Peanut Commission (GPC) reminds growers and industry experts to mark their calendars for next year’s Georgia Peanut Farm Show and Conference, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at the University of Georgia (UGA) Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Maddie Frost, GPC project coordinator-farm and field services, highlighted what attendees can expect at the event, less than two months away.
“As usual we’re going to have around 100 exhibitors, so that’s something we’re real excited about. We’re going to have our grilled PB&Js there as we usually do. We’ll have our catered lunch there for everybody to enjoy and the awards ceremony,” Frost said. “There’s a lot to offer.”
An integral part of the show every year are the two informational seminars, including the UGA Peanut Production Seminar and Seed Seminar. Experts will present information designed to enhance crop production for the next growing season and in the distant future.
“This show is a chance to get one-on-one and talk with our growers and meet with our growers. There’s a lot of information for the farmers because this is more grower oriented,” Frost said. “There’s a lot of information for the farmers, whether it’s at the seminars or meeting with our exhibitors. That’s something to look forward to.”
