(ACA/MONTGOMERY, AL/Oct. 10, 21024) — The Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation (ACF) is hosting a relief effort benefitting cattle producers in North Carolina, Florida and Georgia affected by recent hurricanes. In coordination with the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association, the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association, the effort will focus on collecting fencing materials and monetary donations.

The donation window is Wednesday, Oct. 9, through Wednesday, Oct. 16. The materials requested by affected state cattlemen are solar chargers, T-posts, barbed wire, fencing staples, poly wire, poly reels and insulators. These will be the only materials accepted at drop points.

Those who prefer to make monetary donations are invited to do so online at www.BamaBeef.org/Hurricane or by mailing a check to Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation Attn: Hurricane Relief 201 S. Bainbridge Street, Montgomery, AL 36104. All donations made through the ACF are tax deductible, and all proceeds will go directly to relief efforts.

Four drop points have also been identified where cattle producers can donate requested fencing materials. Materials will be accepted Wednesday, October 9 through Wednesday, October 16. Please note: These are the only materials that will be accepted as they are the only materials requested at this time.
