It was recently announced that Dr. Scott Angle, provost of the University of Florida, who many in Florida agriculture remember as the leader of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) from 2020 to 2023, is coming back to that position. During last week’s Citrus and Specialty Crop Expo in Tampa, Southeast AgNet’s Randall Weiseman talked to Dr. Angle about his return as Senior Vice President of the UF/IFAS.
As head of UF/IFAS, Angle will lead nearly 2,300 employees who work in all 67 Florida counties. IFAS encompasses the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the Florida Cooperative Extension Service and the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station.
