U.S. sales of 4-wheel-drive tractors in July increased 18.6% compared to July 2023 and are up 5.2% year-to-date.
But, according to new data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), total sales of agricultural tractors dropped 14.1% in July compared to the year before and are down 11.9% year-to-date.
“July’s uptick in 4-wheel-drive Ag tractors is a bright spot after a slowdown of sales in June and May of 2024,” said AEM Senior Vice President Curt Blades. “However, we are still seeing softness across the subcompact tractor market after years of strong sales.”
Combine sales dipped 19.1% in July compared to 2023 and are down 17.6% year-to-date.
