At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended March 22, 2024, receipts at 17 markets totaled an estimated 10,816 head compared to 9,319 last week and 10,092 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher, slaughter bulls sold 6.00 to 8.00 higher. Feeder steers and feeder heifers sold 2.00 to 8.00 higher, feeder bulls sold sharply higher. Trade active with good to very good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cows sold firm. Year-to-date receipts totaled 114,667 compared to 127,024 last year.
