While some plant-based companies have started to call their food eggs, senators are working to make sure that if it’s called an egg, it’s from a bird. U.S. Senators Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) recently introduced the Consistent Egg Labels Act – aiming to enforce appropriate food nomenclature nationwide.
