UGA Production Workshops Key Part of GCC Annual Meeting

The Georgia Cotton Commission (GCC) reminds growers and industry leaders that its annual meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the University of Georgia (UGA) Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton, Georgia.

An integral part of the commission’s annual meeting is the UGA Production Workshop, coordinated by members of the UGA Cotton Team. Multiple sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.; 9 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.; 2 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.; and 3 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.

The UGA workshop will feature sessions on agronomics and physiology; economics and marketing; irrigation and precision agriculture technologies; insect pest management; plant pathology; soil fertility; and weed science.

Late registration and breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m., and the first UGA workshop will start at 8 a.m.

The general session which will feature guest speakers, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch.
