As required by their bylaws, the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association (GCA) will be taking nominations from each of the state’s chapters for representation within GCA’s committees. This system allows chapters to have more control over those who serve and allows GCA to ensure that those nominated share an interest in the direction of the organization.
The nominating committee will consider all of the nominees from the chapters in regions 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, & 13-15. Each of these regional representatives will serve along with the chair and vice chair, who are selected by the President.
All committee meetings are open to any member, but only those regional representatives will be eligible to vote. This provides GCA with a better cross section representation and ensures grass roots direction for the future of our organization.
