The Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries (ADAI) announced earlier this month they are accepting grant applications for projects that enhance the competitiveness of U.S. specialty crops in foreign and domestic markets in the state. Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture Rick Pate told Southeast AgNet’s Randall Weiseman they are trying to grow the specialty crop industry in Alabama.
Pate invites those interested in applying for a Specialty Crop Block Grant to take part in a conference call on April 1st. This event will help those concerning the writing, processing, and submittal of the specialty crop block grant.
