Through the Eyes of a Farmer series visits with Jan Jones, fifth-generation farmer, from Climax, Georgia. She has been farming since 2013 and grows cotton, corn and peanuts, as well as cattle.
Farming was not her first choice as an occupation since she studied English literature in college. However, after one year of teaching, she knew she wanted something different and returned to the family farm. Jan started working with her dad on the farm and put down roots in Decatur County by renting her first farm. She really likes working on the farm, being outside all day and being a part of the rural community.
