The Cattle Industry Summer Business Meeting wrapped up Thursday in Denver, Colorado where producers from across the country were on hand to discuss various issues. One of those was live cattle pricing. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) Live Cattle Marketing Committee was one of the committees who met this week. According to Ethan Lane, NCBA vice president of government affairs, a resolution on voluntary efforts to improve cash fed cattle trade came out of that meeting, which supports an approach that gets price discovery down to a regional level.
