Week 4 of the Florida Legislative session is underway, as last week both the House and Senate released their proposed budgets for the 2020-2021 fiscal year that starts July 1. The environment and water issues are areas that continue to be topics in all areas of the state and an issue of importance to the Florida Ag Coalition. The Florida Land Council is a part of that coalition and its Executive Director, Ernie Barnett, talked with Southeast AgNet’s Randall Weiseman about the measures in the Legislature moving this session that will improve water quality.
